oddball story.

these tires have about 2,500 km’s on them on my M3, not much at all, however, on my way home one day my rear driver’s wheel had its wheel bolts come out on the highway and it created a bad wobble. The result of that wobble for about 3 km’s was the chunking on the outside of the tread on one of the tires as seen here. The other tire has no issues at all.

There are two tires in total and the tread is like 90% or so.

285/35/19

new these things are not cheap, however, i went with Michelin PSS to match my fronts.

you can see the chunking here… if you run any camber at all this part of the tire probably doesnt even make contact with the road. In other words, it only becomes a problem if you suck.
