Bought my car about a year ago, and in no time confirmed my thoughts that making this car faster was not really worth the effort. So I decided I wanted it to look better.
I’ve always like the wider and wingless look of the old 993 4S or the 996 4s. More agressive, wider front and rear, yet not as “in your face” as the GT3.So I tooke some part from that bin. I really like the 997 GT3 but I don’t have one, and don’t want to make a GT3 “clone”. So that means no rear wing (for now at least) and certainly not the GT3 wheels. Don’t get me wrong, the 997.1 GT3 is by far one of the best looking cars IMHO. Anyway…
I ordered some front and rear bumpers from Misha Designs, and after some delay I got my bumpers delivered and mocked up.

Next I had to deal with the exhaust “problem” The stock exhaust comes out each side of the bumper, this GT3 bumper does a center exit. Time for Filthy Habits to do some work…
Then I put the heatshields back on. In these pictures you can see where I trimmed the black plastic to make the “vent’s” in the bumper work.
I ordered the 3rd radiator kit from Suncoast Porsche, to fill in the center opening in the bumper. I didn’t get any pictures of that, but it’s really plug and play and really reasonable for P-car stuff ($239)
Just need to get some paint now…
