Every year they close down the main street for 15 blocks or so and line the road with cars. There is always a huge turnout for this show. You get a good variety of cars to show up. Blade’s Rod Shop is right up the road so you will see a lot of old Hot Rod style cars. They have a nice cruise lane and use all 4 lanes as well as the parking on the side so there is plenty of room and it’s not real cramped. Lots of places to eat/drink along the way too.
Might make it out if we can gather up a group. Sounds like a good time.
This weekend, folks!
I’ll be there
going also.
I believe I’m gonna have to go to this.
Great…We are going to try to show up. I had posted this question in another section, but it was deleted. I am glad I read on…Hope to be there early
How about some directions…or is best to take the PIKE and run south?
If you come by the turnpike go west to the last exit in PA (can’t remember if its called Beaver Falls or Beaver Valley Exit). Get off and take 18 south. You’ll continue a few miles on that road and run right into the cruise. The only thing is, you;ll be at the wrong end to enter the cruise lane, but sometimes they make exceptions. Either way, you’ll see it.
To go down the Parkway through town and then down 65…would be suicide with all the traffic this weed end. Even out past the airport would be rough…actually the rough place is going west from the east side. So that’s why I mentioned the PIKE
Did any of you go? It was HUGE.
I was there a few times. I went past on my way to work at 9:30 and it was getting busy. At 11 when I left work it was packed. I cruised through and saw very few places to park. I went back around 4:30 with my girl and COULD NOT find anywhere to park. I ended up parking in my company’s lot, right off of the road.
I went over about 2:00, it took forever to get from the bottom to the top, and we ended up parking about 1 block from the top side turn around. I had my malibu, my buddies two trucks, and another bud’s camaro.
There was not a ton of foot trafiic up there but a few people came by and checked the rides out, which was nice. We left about 6 and it took even longer to get back through. Car didn’t get over 160 with the fan on, that was nice.
You don’t work at a drafting company do you?
It’s an engineering company actually. But they do civil engineering mostly for PennDOT and do quite a bit of drafting. But I just take care of their computers and network. I don’t actually draft.
Jason Antithomas workin over there with you?
He did a few years back. He lives up the hill from me also. Haven’t seen him in awhile though.
