gonna be a noob and ask, but is that N02 with ITB’s?
I’m confused.
hasselgren formula atlantic 4age :excited
dunno whats up with the extra injectors…
I was going to say I’m pretty sure they’re just fuel injectors, but I see injectors in the mani after the TB’s also.
Maybe secondary injectors for high load/high rpm?
The best use for that engine is in an AE86 like the turbo version in Taka Aono’s drift car and the N/A Hasselgren Engineering AE86. There is another drift car with a Hasselgren engine but I forgot who’s it is.
Back in the Day Buffet up in this bitch. Not the best pics but still the only Formula Atlantic pics in here I think:
i believe those injectors are used for the high rpm band. it allows the car to use lower injectors as the main injectors so that partial throttle and ideal can be consistent and run smooth. as opposed to running huge injectors only which makes the low rpm and partial throttle harder to tune correctly
Sounds right but I am not 100%. Those 4A-GEs rev to 12,000 or 13,000.
It’s so the fuel atomizes properly before going into the ports at those elevate RPM’s the engine runs. Alot of race cars, some OE street cars, and some OE street bikes use this setup.
Mmmmm carbon.
