Interesting to see that they use the same large OD thin section bearings for the wheel bearings as they use on the WRC cars :slight_smile: I’d bet money they’re ceramic like the WRC ones too, hence why they cost $1500 + each(two per wheel)

That’s part of a wheel heater. Note electrical cable. Squeeze the spring-loaded duckbill thing to remove/install the heater on the rim.

why would the wheel need to be heated?

I assume to get it up to race temp, as to set the air pressure precisely?
