Has a winner already been decided?

I heard about this race but could not find any more links about it.

LAS VEGAS – The clash between Pittsburgh and Seattle is just around the corner, and speculation over who will emerge victorious is running high. With this year’s Big Game set to take place in Detroit, Full Throttle Energy Drink added some “fuel” to the debate by predicting the outcome – Motor City-style. In a unique event sure to be as accurate as many of the pundits in forecasting a winner, Full Throttle teamed with Don Schumacher Racing to stage a showdown pitting two fully-loaded, 7,000-horsepower NHRA Funny Cars against each other in a 300 mph, winner-take-all drag race.

In the end, it was reigning POWERADE NHRA Funny Car Champion Gary Scelzi – representing Pittsburgh – edging out the Seattle-themed car driven by 2005 series runner-up Ron Capps in the best 2-out-of-3 race format, foreshadowing good things to come for that city. Scelzi’s speed in the deciding race was 327 miles per hour. The event took place – where else – in Las Vegas, where oddsmakers on “The Strip” are gearing up for the busiest week of the year.
