Saw them in Road and Track years ago. I would never get them but I think the science behind them is pretty cool.

They were on the F1 (or whatever the cars are on the video on the site)

I think the technology is incredible… And I would bet anything you’ll see them on the streets soon enough. I wonder if you can turn them off easily, or if they’re just always on. If you could make your own design, and have it animated, THAT would be hot. Looped animation (video) would be awesome. Only time separates us from them having these things able to show full-color, full-motion video.
Will I have them on my car? Doubtful. Buy I can’t say “never,” because you never know.

To take it a step further… if they made then with full-motion video capability, then that means you could put up a display that looks like any style of wheel you choose… that would be kind of interesting.

I think its cool technology… I may drive around with them for a few days to play around but I wouldnt strap that shit to my wheels for good
I swear I thought of this TEN years ago when I bought a spinning LED message writer.
Never thought it would actually happen, and I wish I would have done something with it, even though it is the ugliest crap ever.
