hehe, i think 18s are too small, but to each his own.
yea, i’ve heard of the overstock on the RG-Rs…i thought those were 19s though. And you can’t go wrong with any of your choices TE’s and the RG-R probably have better offsets than the 18" nismos…
edit: oh yea, if you want lightweight, you should look into CE28’s…those are supposedly lighter than TE’s.
CE28s are great rims for the reasons you mentioned, you’re right! :R Problem is that they cost a grip! And believe it or not, but the Nismos have great offsets (+25 front, +23 rear). I’m still trying to sell my turbo kit for my Civic so I can put in an order… it looks like I’ll be going with the Nismos… but damned if the current price for 18 inch BBS RG-Rs isn’t tempting right now…
CE28s should cost about the same as TE37s…that’s why threw it onto the list. Hmm…i thought nismos has +30 offests…are you sure you’re not reading the available offsets for the 19" rims?
I said flush enough for me. Put it this way… the offset of the Nismos isn’t a dealbreaker for me. And considering my future suspension plans, I also don’t want to deal with rubbing. You’re right, though… in that they aren’t truly flush.
Ah, that guy is selling them with a new set of tires he mounted, too… I can’t afford that combo. If only I had gotten to him sooner, than he would have sold me those rims, bummer.
Well, I’m pretty sure I’m going for the LMGT4s. I really like the BBS, but nothing seems to look as good (to me) on a Z than Nismos. Of course, if I spot a used set of TE37s (brand new they are WAY too much, I checked) somewhere, I’ll get those, instead.
but wouldn’t you need tires anyways? or you were planning to reuse your stock tires?
bummer about the rims. I’m sure another set will show up I know there’s another fellow on my350z’s that’s selling a limited edition 19" black nismos, but it has crazy offsets that require fender work. Anyways, good luck with your search, if i find anything, i’ll let you know!
Oh, I definitely need tires! I wouldn’t be getting rims at all if it weren’t for the need for wider, better rubber. I should have mentioned, he bought a set of drag radials and wanted 1700 for them (that’s just the tires). Considering I can get a set of the tires I want (Toyo Proxes T1-R) for a lot less, I wasn’t going to bother.
Anyhow, it’s not a big deal at the moment. I’m in no hurry, but I do like the idea of my car sporting those LMGT4 and a mild drop (courtesy of Hotchkis springs)… very aggressive stance, indeed
