Congrats man!

Congratulations!

Braeden was born on 9/1 weighed in at 8lbs 3oz and 20" long. He’s perfectly healthy and we just got home this evening. His mom gave us a good scare though. The delivery went perfectly smooth but during the afterbirth process her uterus didn’t retract and it caused a severe hemhorrage. The doctor called a code white ripped me and the baby away and rushed her to the OR. They tried everything they could to save the uterus but had to do a historectomy. She ended up needing 5 units of blood and 2 units of plasma during the surgery and an additional 2 units the following day to keep her stable. The doctor keeps stressing that she is lucky to be alive after losing that much blood, and if we were anywhere else the outcome probably wouldnt have been the same. But the baby is perfect and that’s what matters most. It’s definitely tough knowing we won’t be able to have another kid by normal means down the road but the two of them are still here which I am incredibly grateful for.

Sorry to hear about the complications after the birth, but it’s good to hear both mother and baby are doing well now. Congrats!

X2

Congrats dude and a huge relief that they were able to save her life! Woah!!! WTF…

Sorry to hear about the problems and im glad she and the baby pulled are now doing well.
