did you check the timing? what carbs on the car right now?
600 cfm timing is 36* at 3500 rpm
I’m willing to bet that a 750 will be too much…past experiences and volumetric efficiency.
thats what i was thinking, what kind of carb is on there now? what size motor what compression what gas r u running?
750 is way too much for your car.
back off the timing. were those plugs in there when you were running the car for a few weeks without setting the timing?
Yeah for a little bit, but i changed them out once i got it timed. I retarded the timing a bit (without a light) and the cars running better on those fucked plugs. I will swap them when i get a timing light on it again. I still need a second set of new plugs for when choda gets his hands on it. I had to order them.
edit: i want a 750 DP anyway because i will be stroking it out over winter time, and investing in nitrous oxide shortly. If we can make the 600 thats on it work thats great, but i still want to give the 750 a try. I’d rather run it rich than lean
what size motor? i have a mild 350 with vortec heads and a vacuum secondary holly 650 and its pretty close unless you have a big block or really done up stroker small block i wouldnt go any bigger than 650
Carb CFM doesn’t have anything to do with rich/lean, that’s all in the jets.
Robert!!! I said 650!!! Damnit!!!
Get a 650!!!
