This should be in the other thread, but the bottom end is forged from the factory. Rods and crank anyway. I planned to just run the thing that season stock engine and put pistons in it the following winter. Forged pistons wouldn’t have kept the pistons from melting…

well…they might not have. sounds like detination to me and maybe some meth injection and forged pistons would have solved it nicely.
