AFAIK, if there’s no frontal protection such as what goes down the A/B pillar, it’s only considered a roll bar.
The 8-point cage Kramer posted is junk. Halos = bad for business.

I wasn’t sure because I’ve heard people refer to a 6pt as a “cage”, but it does make sense if there is no frontal protection that it’s not considered a cage.
