That’s why if i ever went turbo I’d vent the WG to atmosphere…makes more power, sounds cool, and scares the shit out of unsuspecting old people/children/pedestrians in general :rofl
yeah i agree, on my e36 the cosmos 3.5 CAI turns heads, and on my jetta, the exhaust on downshift sounds killer. lots of people look when they hear me coming. most know to get out of the way.
Ask Dave at Inline. I spotted a quick release bumper on pins in his shop when i was there. Its awesome. its like 4 pins and its off. one of the greatest bumpers ive ever seen. Send me some more pics of the jetta, i wana see it from a buncha angles
There not hood pins they are zute buttons aka quarter turns that the same way I’m doing my bumper’s i have 4 bumpers 2 rear 2 front stock and after market the stock are for track days
actually, yea, i think thats what those were. prolly just look like flat head screwdriver screw heads. either way, its awesome! click click and its off, so nice
yeah i’ll be using quarter turn dzus fastners on my e36. i want to keep them hidden on that car under the rubstrips. on the jetta, there is no real hiding them unless its under the front plate, and the bumper is nice and flat. thats why i chose to go with the black hood pins on it. i don’t care if you see them. i’m only using 2 to hold it on, cuz thats all thats necessary for me. i’ll take some more shots of the car when i clean it and get the bumper installed with the pins.
If you figure out what specs you’re using on the dzus fasteners let me know, i can’t figure out the damn sizing charts they have, there’s so many fucking options!
And which s-spring are you going to use? i was thinking of having the weld in style on the bumper supports, figuring out the sides is going to be tough though, we should make a quick release bumper kit dude. We could fab up simple brackets that have pre-mounted s-springs for the side sliders…that’s the only real way i can see it working…working WELL at least :rofl
sure ben, we will sit down very soon and figure out what we wanna do as far as fabbing something up that works good. lemme know when you plan on making an order, and we’ll get together and sort through those diagrams.
K, i got the jist of it through reading, i’m thinking we should use the 5/16" phillips head 1200 series…itll put us at being able to support 180lbs, should be plenty for subsonic travel :shifty
