3.0 CS: 180 hp (132 kW), 2985cc, using twin Zenith 35/40 INAT carburetors
Very similar subframe and rear trailing arm arrangement to later (e34/e24) 5 series and 6 series. I believe the front uses the same or similar thrust arm/control arm arrangement, but I honestly havent looked. Coil on shock, etc, etc. I’ll be retrofitting a combination of modern parts in. ~2700lbs.
Just a hair over 3700 of these were sent stateside. (e9, 2800 or 3.0 of various different models). 450 with manual trans in '73.
