i’m interested in setting up a meet
I got my shield installed yesterday, and as usual its a great quality piece of work from Jeff.
jeff, a quick note
i just installed Fobwall’s heatshield for him and it had to be modified to fit the bolt on the strut tower… the hole that you cut had to be elongated inwards about 0.5 inches or so.
I believe that since Dustin didn’t this issue it is a result of not taking both sizes of brake booster in to consideration. In my experience, most s13’s have the same brake booster that mark has - it’s about 3/4" taller than the style that Dustin has (and I’m guessing you also).
Also, and probably a result of the issue mentioned above - the heat shield presses against his brakes lines which of course renders the unit useless in some aspects.
Its an easy fix really I guess, if there was enough material left on the tab on the brake booster side i could elongate that hole also and move the shield away from the brake lines but its already as far as it goes and theres not enough material there to extend it. i took pics on my phone but im at marks, cant pull then from the phone here. let me know if you want to see them
nice unit overall however, i have a feeling you had no idea of two different brake boosters on s13’s. i didnt either till dustin showed me a few weeks back.
At first… I totally forgot about the difference between the Auto/Manual Brake Booster but then I did remember which is why instead of the single hole I put the slotted hole hoping that the extra room would make up for the difference in lenght when bolting to the Strut but it wasnt enough.
Actually… prior to meeting up with Dustin I stopped into see a buddy who is doing an SR swap into his vert and since it was auto, it had an auto booster and when I gave him his sheild and he put it on, we noticed that the slotted hole was indeed approx 1/2’’ shy and I meant to post that up right away but it slipped my mind @ first and then once I did remember, my PC crapped out and I didnt get a replacement until now…
Good News thou… I modified all the Sheilds and increased that slotted hole by approx .750’’ which will ensure no one else down the road has any issues 
So how many people have picked these up so far?
Because I would love to, just don’t have the time to come out to KW. Will you be in the GTA at any point in the near future?
4 People have got theirs already and I’ve been told by a few others that they are coming to get theirs but so far, have been a no show.
I’ll have time this coming week (Wed or Thur) to meet up between say 8-9pm? (everyone should be finished up with work or dinner by then). But as said before, I dont want to come out to Mississauga for 1 or 2 guys so it would be awesome if a group/handful of people can all make it out so lets decide on a time when people can make it… and as stated above, Im good to go either Wed Sept 26 or Thur Sept 27.
i can be there around 8-9 in miss. on either day so whatever is easest for the rest of the bunch
Thursday uis better for me, WEdsndat i will probably be finishing work at 10:15 in North York. Thursday I can just skip the physics lab and come out no problem.

Well S13GG just got his S14 all finished and recently onto the road so Im hoping he has some free time this weekend to stop by the shop for about 30 min’s while I whip up one.
The S14 Shields will be much more straight forward or simplier, meaning it will indeed be slightly cheaper
However. Dan, if you’d prefer having something built specific to your setup (you’re top mount right?) then let me know when your free and we can arrange a day/time and I will make you one however you want it made!
