hey bing, if i order a few things from you how much would you charge just to throw one in the box with the rest of my parts?
how about i get them requoted and work it all out in full first.
you guys dont need to run up the total, i am going to get the specs anyways, i’ll let you know when they are ready to go… it will be a couple weeks anyways
Hi, I’m retarded. <puts on flame suit>
What is a spin knob? Is that for the center of your wheels?
Nope, it screws into the end of your ebrake handle so when you use the ebrake, it won’t lock in the up position. Good for drifters.
im in i like shiny stuff
ic thanks!
might be a stupid question. can you loosen the knob a bit so the e brake will work? as a daily driver the e brake is somewhat important.
this knob doesnt affect functioanlity at all.
you remove the spring so that when you push the button in it stays in… this way when you lift your e-brake it doesnt stay locked…
the purpose is so when you are initiating a drift with your e-brake you need only lift… rather than lift and then push the button to release and dis-engage. when the knob is pressed the e-brake handle will come down immediately so that you can modulate your e-brake initiation, it also allows you to focus more on your steering wheel by freeing up your e-brake hand
you pull the knob out and it functions as normal.
you could do this without a knob just by removing the spring, the knob allows you to pull the button back out more easily… and its just fun to play with.
i use a spin knob on all my s13 winter beaters as well as my good one. it makes the snow incredible.
ok guys,
sorry i lagged so long on this, we are not quite 100% ready to go but i just sent off my own logo for quoting.
i want to put them all through at the same time to bring down the set up and tooling times.
for pricing, if you guys can do 40 knobs it will be in the vacinity of $15 each, hopefully a bit lower, and that is AFTER anodization. if you guys go down to 30 it will likely be at $15 flat per.
i will be running my knobs through for anodization as well as anything else i can find anywhere that is aluminum just because… well not for any particular reason other than because it would be neat.
not sure if i mentioned but this isnt some pussy anodization either, it is done by a company that builds space shuttle parts…
still a week or so away, i have to jump on these guys to get them to do it because they are soo busy these days, but hey, thats a good thing.
Samples produced.
necc ones are already in the database so we didnt churn out any samples.
i have been advised that i need to go ahead on these in the next 2 weeks before things get nuts at the CNC machinist’s.
