Interesting aero on the GT3 RSR

Cut away body work to let out higher pressure behind the car is pretty cool. Not a new development in the aero world but certainly looks unique here. I was curious as to the lack of the rear diffuser though. Is there a reason for just the small flip up in the back instead of the larger venturi style? Due to the engine size/placement perhaps?

That undertray only floats about 1/4-3/8" from the bottom of the new engine in that car(A91, no longer the metzger design)
