Had a random discussion about this with a friend today so I’m curious, how do you have your look control set? Not just for shooters, for any game in general i guess.
I’ve used inverted ever since goldeneye for N64.

depends on the game. im wierd
regular, but i’m honestly not much of a video game guy at all…
Regular. Never saw the point of down = up.
I take activia, so I’m regular.
I never really made the choice to play that way. It’s weird, if i try to play regular it’s like trying to write with my left hand. I would assume it’s the same way for a person playing regular to try inverted.
I could see that…when I play halo no matter what I do I can’t get call of duty controls out of my head
related note: the ‘zoom’ function in ProE is backwards. wheel scroll towards me should be zoom out. I wish there was a way to invert it
I guess i don’t view it has pushing down to look up, more like pulling back to look up. Maybe i was a pilot in my last life.
Switching between games is a pain in the ass too. They really should make these games with the capability of full button customization like on most PC games.
Me exactly.
Inverted FTW.
It comes from flight sims and early arcade games. Up = BACK on the stick. Down = push the stick forward.
It’s not a choice of up or down, it’s back or forward since your controller or mouse moving on a horizontal plane.
Inverted…always
