Is the intercooler piping on my sr'd 180sx aluminum or steel

i am getting an hks bov ssqv and would like to know if i should order the steel or the aluminum flange

thanks,
Justin

just get aluminium

Is it stock piping? If it is then it’s steel.

If it’s aftermarket put a magnet to it, if it sticks it’s mild steel. If it doesn’t, it’s stainless or aluminum. You should be able to tell just by weight then whether it’s Al or SS.

yes, it is stock piping… so i assume i need to get a steel flange right? do most people mount their bov on that one straight pipe closest to the turbo (the one that runs horisontal beside the engine)? where is the stock bov so i can cap it off?

thanks

That place for the bov will work fine

The factory bov is under the left hand side splashguard, just infront of the front wheel.

thanks guys, got teh 2" steel flange and teh hks bov on its way

No prob. Why not introduce yourself in the into section and post some pics of your car.
