I would not recommend this set up for gaming at all but would make an excellent internet and small program machine. Would be fine for VB, some flash games and school work

Not really…lol.

Not to mention tigerdirect mail in rebates are hit and miss, sometimes you get em and sometimes you dont.

What is your budget?

$150-$175 for a cpu/motherboard combo… its my first machine im building and i have the case, and i thought seeing its my first one, that i would buy a bundle rather than go all out expensive… so really no more than $175 for the bundle…

still need a powersupply, HDD, CD/DVD rom drive, plus misc accessories

o i know that, im talkin no more than $175 on a mobo/cpu… lol, as far as budget for the entire thing… im not exaclty sure… basically my tax returns are going toward building it which is something like $400… but i got money now, and am looking for just the mobo/cpu…

you wont get any mb/processor for that price, that is good for gaming. You should just get that bundle and be content with that until you want to put more money into a gaming machine.

if you need a good pc for cheap go to newegg.com, and get a AMD cpu like my name get it, not intel, specially for games. and then you can do some overclocking and make it even faster and save even more cash :smash2:

intel celeron man?? are u smoking crack? if ur gonna get and intel, at least go pentium. If ur smart you would go amd tho.

I spent $165 for a board and processor.

I bought a brand new socket 939 3000+ processor off of ebay for $100.Then I bought the ASRock 939 dual sata motherboard for $65 (made by Asus).

Cheapest/reliable best bang for your buck setup you could possibly get.I havent had 1 problem since ive got it.

when do you need it buy… i have a pentium D 820 and intel board on order… i’m willing to sell it.

nah thanks i got a setup coming sooon… thanx though…
