Just wondering if anyone on here has experiences with them or know of anyone who has. Im currently putting together a lawsuit against them because they are backing out of there warranty and keep making up excuses and blaming the engine failures on me.
Im on my 3rd engine from them and between the 3 i got about 7k miles (only 500 on this last one)they keep using the same excuse being detonation(ive heard they give this excuse to alot of customers from my reasearch)
Also, i got factory specs for my engine from the dealership wich is quite higher than jaspers specs for my particular engine(4g63T)according to jasper 110-125 is good and factory specs are somewhere around 133-178
heres a link to a post somonelse had about them and it seems pretty much the same boat as im in http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff35161.htm
looks like time for a law suit
ok, found another, the last reply seems interesting as its from a former jasper employee

detonation is easy to see if that was the cause of engine failure.rip the head off and look at the condition of the pistons,or rip it all apart and check the condition of the sidewalls and the rings…
I have a motor sitting in my old CRX… they fucked up and sent me a carbed block(i had a 1g CRX) and kept trying to tell me they were the same  after alot of bitching by my dad and a Honda garage we got sent the new block… this was like back in 99 though… i still think their a bunch of idiots that dont know shit about imports.
You would think they would just send you a new damn block to keep you quiet… just sue them… loss of wages and stuff also since your car was outa commission…
WOW i have never heard one good thing about jasper engines
I thought Jasper was a reputable engine builder.
Hope it all works out for you.
i worked at firestone when a mechanic left the oil out of the enigne in a jasper 4.9 I6 in an F-150 the engine started to knock the guy shut off the engine.
for jasper to warrenty the engine in the future (the engine didnt seeze up) we had to tear the engine down and check all the clearences on the cranck bearkings and all the bearings threw out the engine. we did that and they were in specs so Jasper warrentied the engine from there on
if the engine failed in 1000 miles it was on jasper not firestone
good luck on that man.
you mean compression numbers of 125??? that’s rebuild time, factory should be 164 even

lookin good for me, it also seems that they are known to pay people off:D not only am i wanting money back for the engine and labor,i takeing them for my new turbo(wich they were trying to blame on my first failure), and injectors(blame for second engine lol)
