So i was driving yesterday and out of no where, i notice smoke start coming out of my hood. As soon as i got home (wich only took about 1 min) i opened the hood and realized it was worse than i had thought. After it was diagnosed, i figured out it was the water pump. So i had 0 anti-freeze. Now the question would be, can i use a water pump off of a KA24DE to fit the KA24E? Reason being i have a KA24DE with a water pump on it i belive.
i personally dont think soo… i mean one is a dual cam the other isnt there for complete different engine but i might be wrong on this one

Agreed, will try and do so today. But I am wondering if my water pump is actually toast. When i put the Anti-freeze in yesterday morning it only leaked when it started, because it was under pressure. But its not leaking anymore? So im wondering if it still needs replaced. Anyone had this happen to them?
