Kid Rock/Lynard Skynard

Anyone going to see them July 14th? I just got my tickets tonight… should be a good time

Isn’t Kid Rock doing the country thing?

what venue is it at? this would probably cool, but probably have too canal fest-y of a crowd.

I saw GFR at Canal Fest a while back…it was better than some of the shows I’ve been too (venue wise)

<EDIT>

LYNYRD SKYNYRD is playing at Darien Lake

I forgot Billy Powell died earlier this year…That really sucks, now the only original member is Rossington. Not the same Lynyrd Skynyrd. :frowning:

Darien Lake… Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday 3/20/09

I’ve seen both of them separately and the crowd was very diverse. Families, old people, hot chicks, rednecks, white trash… Everyone was well represented.

not really… He has done a couple country songs on his albums but rarely performs them. His shows are definitely rock

FREE BIRD!!!

I thought gary powell was the last original member left?

As did I…I guess Gary Rossington (guitarist) is the only Original member left.

Damn right I’ll be there already got my tickets and getting a limo

Last time they came to Darien (skynyrd) they were awesome… haven’t been to Darien in a while just like Erie county fair, saw them at Seneca Niagara… but those weren’t the same. And about this tour it was highly successful last year this should be bad ass

and :frowning: to BP being gone.

and technically r medlock was original lynyrd skynyrd but they have had so many in and out members, artimus pile(the original drummer) is still alive just not with them

Rickey Medlocke was not an original, he replaced Bob Burns in 1970 and then left the band in 1972 to be replaced again by Bob Burns. Back in 88 was probably the closest thing to an original band that you could of seen. Rossington, Powell, Pyle, Wilkeson, King, Johnny Van Zant (vocals), Randall Hall along with Dale Krantz Rossington and Carol Bristow on background vocals. Allen Collins was there, not playing but before his death he toured with them.
Seen them at least 15 times since the tribute tour in 88, great times, great band.

Johnny Van Zant does sound a lot like Ronnie however…

i’m 21 and i’ve seen them 15 times

grew up on that shit.

kind of grew out of them though

I cant stand older rock acts when they are out of their prime. Its almost miserable listening to. Needles to say, the last 5 Superbowl halftime shows have been torture for me.

Edit: Prince was pretty friggen cool!

maybe you should go listen to that no talent lil wayne then

Typical ignorant old man, assuming there are two types of music in life CLASSIC ROCK, and hip hop!

Faggot!

fbod meet?

And here we go…

lol hahahahahahaha

you sure did get me.
