Know anything about harmonicas?

…I would like to get the man a harmonica set for Christmas.
Anyone reccomend anything? Brass reeds or plastic? Metal mouthpiece or plastic? And specific names to look for? He’s not a serious player but I know he’d love a set because he also wants a digital music recorder or some sort to record his own stuff.

Would something like this be ok?

If you are just buying 1 harp don’t bother on ebay, just go to Guitarcenter. They’ve got great prices and one of the best harps they sell only comes out to $30 anyways. Hohner makes some of the world’s best harmonicas and has a really bluesy tone. I have a Lee Oskar lying around somewhere ($30 @ guitarcenter). If you are getting only 1, get it in C. However a whole set would be awesome and you might be able to pick up sets for cheaper on ebay.

Yeah I deffinetly want to get him a whole set.
So perhaps I should go with the first link I posted “Set of 7 Hohner “Piedmont Blues” Harmonicas with a Plush Lined Nylon Case!” …? $34.99 free shipping…
??

damnit…every tiem i try and buy something on ebay, it never works…

Nevermind.
I bought it.

Now anyone know anything about digital music recorders(?)…he wants to be able to record himself and get it on the computer I guess…???

You don’t need a digital “box” persay if he has a decent enough sound card. For the price and practicality, a software based recording studio (anything from Cakewalk) would be fine…I use Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro.
