Basically, its a rad, it holds coolant, cools it and lets it go back in the engine.
That being said, I have a high quality KOYO brand radiator, for S13, 89-94 with SR20DET
You can use it in a s14, as I am, but you need to make a two small holes in your car to do so. Rad was not harmed!
