Chaparral, definitely one of my favorites after learning more about them. Easily the outstanding example of American ingenuity and engineering advancement in the automotive field. Fuck Shelby. Jim Hall is the man.
Agreed. That car was SOOO far ahead of it’s time. The good ones are always knocked off to level the playing field. Even the 2D was a great chassis.
That is neat with the 4 wheels. I figured it was for a greater contact patch, did even think of the extra braking. Pretty damn cool.
Contact patch/braking wasn’t what it was initially designed for. Had to do with aerodynamics more than anything else. Got banned like all other cool stuff does :shift
