Not quite. The Desert Eagle can be fitted in a .45, .44 mag, and I believe a .45 winchester mag. The .500 S&W is a MUCh morepowerful gun. It is a fucking cannon. The .454 Causul (sp) is only .004" smaller than the .45, but it is like getting hit with a cinderblock vs a brick…and the .500 S&W would be like a 100lb boulder lol.

With the gas operated action, and its weight, its an enjoyable gun to shoot in .44 but 50cal is just painful.

One time i shot my uncles magnum .45 desert eagle. He warned me ahead of time of the recoil power it so i leaned hard into the shot and it still sent my elbows into my fuckin chest. Extremly exillerating to shoot tho.
