im guessing it was used to heat up the aluminum before welding it, welding really thick pieces is hard because they absorb so much heat. im guessing adam h can chyme in on this

I’m assuming he didn’t weld it but used the aluma rod on it. which were u use the torch and aluma rod. it’s alot like brazing !! has no real structual quality though !! I haven’t laughed this hard in awhile !! LOL:thumbup
