If this is a 2.53 C2D, its a Mid-09 MBP. The next model was a mid-2010, and the base spec on the 15" was a 2.53 i5.
If its a C2D its priced fairly good. If its the i5, its a great deal.
Good catch…it’s a 09 based on his description of the proc and the remainder of the Applecare it seems.
Applecare is important on these unibody models IMO. I’ve seen 2 screens out of 200ish separate from the chassis. It’s not common but it’s expensive without Applecare if you’re an unlucky one.
Herm, I could use an upgrade, but mine has been working for me for 7ish straight years with no problems. I think I’ll just roll with it for now.
