Machine Shopists / Fabricators - Who can help me make these brackets....?

… cheaper than $228 bucks??

Ok so here’s the deal. I want to lower my stock Recaro seat. Someone on evoM is selling a set of lowering brackets for $114 bucks per seat. To me, it’s not worth that much. So, if I can’t achieve this for any cheaper, no sweat, I’ll rock it. I’m just wondering if somebody can pound these out, since I am cheap, and the end result (to me) isn’t worth as much as this guy is asking. If not, I just wont do it. I wouldn’t need them powdercoated, I can just paint them - no biggie.

I don’t want to go to Home Depot and fab something from weaker materials that may fail in an accident. It just ain’t worth it.

The parts being sold are laser cut and are made from .125" thick mild steel. I do not have exact measurements (d’oh) but can get approx. ideas if I yanked the seat out, however the pics do a fairly good job of relative size. I wanna have somebody say they can do this for cheap before I pull the seat to get a better idea of measurements. If they are off by a bit, I figure I can grind or file until they’re workable.

The purpose of this thread is to see if somebody’s got 1. Scrap/cheap material, 2. access to proper equipment, and 3. the knowhow to do this quickly and cheaply. Again, if not, no sweat - I’m just looking for somebody who’s reaction is “228 bucks???!?! I could pound that shit out for $XX no problem!!”

On with the stolen pics:
