Manual brakes in a street car?

3200lb car F-body

Will I hate switching to manual brakes? It has disc brakes all around

It’ll be fine. Evo guys do it

If your worried about it you can always go to a smaller master cylinder to make your pedal effort less

its fine, put an adjustable valve in line or you’ll lock up the skinnies easily.

I do it with the 69 mustang. Perfectly fine.

I’ve been running non-boosted brakes for years. I have a Wilwood proportioning valve inline to ensure the wheels lock up in sequence.

There’s also electric brake boosters if weight / space is a concern.

street cars have brake boosters

race cars dont

take it out

I run manual brakes in my car. If you have someone else driving it, say for an alignment be careful and also don’t plan on driving far because you will get tired after a while.

No. I mean really how much weight are you saving by removing the booster? That’s all you’re removing. You’d be better off dropping your own body weight. It’s not worth losing one of the only safety aids on your car.

manual brakes work fine as long as you have a small bore master cylinder.
