Well thank you for your time. Since you are in no hurry to sell I will take my time with an offer and continue looking. Thanks again.
That makes no sense at all you never even made me an offer, besides the $300 offer you made on your flyer23 account.

Here are some that sold in the past on eBay.
I’ve been searching for a 22xx Marantz for only a few weeks and I’m not going to overpay just because I found a seller. These receivers sell all the time and the ones going on eBay have been cleaned, serviced and look to be in better condition. Its a 30+ year old receiver, they need upkeep. Besides, you set your price at $600 I didn’t want to offend you with a $250-$375 offer.
You have no idea what your talking about
There are two links from eBay that I posted where a.) it has no wood case and b.) the case is scratched to fuck
Those both went for $450 +
The unit I’m selling is in perfect working order and is definitely in better shape than those that sold. So I’m not sure where you are getting your info. I’m not going to sell it to you any how so please look else where.
P.S. Let me know when you find one cheaper that is in my receivers condition. Doubt that will happen. You joined a couple days ago just to post in this thread. Something tells me you are the same guy on Craigslist who asked for my phone number because you were interested. You then call me to tell me my price is too high and to do my homework. I bet you are the same guy.

So you are going to tell me that these two are worth more than my receiver

I can find plenty more. I’m not willing you argue with you any more since we are both wasting our time.
People on eBay bid based on how much they want that item and not what it is worth. Put yours up on eBay then. Get $300-$450 minus the eBay posting fees, the percentage they take when you sell an item and the Paypal service fees. I don’t want yours, thats why I didn’t send you an offer. The wood is in good shape but needs work, I would have to take the receiver apart to replace bulbs and service the dials (to make sure they are smooth and true) and I would need to clean the entire unit inside and out. All of that costs money to get it back to factory condition and I’m not going to pay you $600 for a $250-$375 unit and then pay another $300 to get it back to factory. Thank you for showing me the piece, it is a great looking receiver. I hope you get a good offer and that it goes to somebody who will care for it.
Just by this statement I know you are flyer23 and (Neal) the guy from Craigslist… your wording/knowledge is the same from all three of your aliases. I’m not sure why you felt the need to create 2 user names on here (offer me $300 with your flyer26 user name, and state that is a low ball offer but that’s all you have). Than create a .23 user name a few days later. All before this you e-mail me on Craigslist with the name “Neal” saying you are interested and you call me and tell me the price is too high and to do my homework. Needless to say I will post this on e-bay and I will get over $500 easily. Lets say it sells for $550 - 100 papal/eBay/shipping fees. That leaves me with $450. More than your $300 offer.
Is the Marantz 2285B still for sale.
Will you ship it?
Thanks
Looks to be in great condition! Let’s not cap on price… $600 is on the high end, I but someone will buy at that price and condition. Audiogon would likely be better than eBay
So I have been tossing around the idea of selling this again. Open to serious offers.
I would eBay this, high end stuff is a real pain to sell locally. You will probably get $600 for it, $550 after the fees.
i had a Rotel like this that i sold years ago for a couple hundo… that’s a nice piece.
