MclarenF1GP TURBOOOo vs Hooked on 240000

3.3 ftw, just bolt on the 3800 supercharger along with fuel rail/injectors and have the ecu reprogrammed. :nod

g-bodys ran 78-87 and some in 88 with left over parts, ie cutlass supreme classic and some mc/ss. ect.

ahaha my motor blew with 3/4 tank of gas

i was PISSED

ORLY…cuz you can just pump it out like I did with the full fucking tank my civic had when it came off the road :headbang

iirc my grand prix had a theft thingy, so you couldnt stick anything in the tank ie… hose. My neon had it too. both cars i had almost full tank. :headbang

You could wire the fuel pump to 12V directly and just detach the hose at the fuel rail and pump away! That’s what I do!

I’ve heard running it like that can burn out the pump

If its out of gas yes. I remember reading something about how fuel pumps are more prone to fail for those people who run their gastanks dry before filling up. Cause the gas helps cool the pump and when your shits on E the pump is exposed and not getting as much cooling.

I don’t know how valid it is, but it sorta makes sense.

Exactly. Just don’t run the pump dry.

You would need the series I top end. Heads, intake, and inferior m-62. and the 3.3L is a tall deck block that wont fit under the hood of the FWD W-bodies and would require intake spacers. A Series II 3.8L is far superior in head flow, reciprocating geometry, and Gen 3 M-90 blower.

If you only do it a few times its ok its the people who run to E and then only put a 1/4 tank in until you’re at E again that will burn out pumps. We all did it in HS. lol

Fuel cools and lubricates the pump so if its dry excessive wear will occur.

some do and some dont, like my car and slohawks the pump is always cooled due to it being always submerged up until there is no fuel at all, well atleast the 99-02 tanks were like that

No… Im fucked with the steel 98-99.5ish tank. But it is much more versatile to DIY dual walbro 340s ;D

i thought you didnt need to swap heads? and yes it wont fit under the hood lawlz

I know the series 2 requires a head swap because there are no injectors in the intake but in the heads on the supercharged version. I think there is a reason why they recomend a heads swap. I think the valves and valve springs are stronger. some of the older engines used 2 peice valves that can leave a valve head implanted in a piston.

i would think that the valve springs a rated for a blower on the gtp heads, most F/I applications require a valespring swap

I am going to shoot myself in the face if this thread goes on any longer. Lock 1

Not if I beat you to it :lol

lock 2

ummm

Lock -1

I just deleted one!!!

FWD GM FTW!!!1!!11!!111

:lol
