I heard salt ruins coilovers in winter.

Salt rusts things? … Who knew !
Sorry to poke in here but I have a quick question:
I have coilovers and would like to know if they will be okay during the winter. They will be stored in a box in my basement.
KTHXBYE
if they are CHEAP coilovers(raceland, ksport) they will get corroded driving in the winter, but if they are Zinc plated bodies, or the INOX line stainless bodies you would be ok with them over the winter, just put some type of anti seize compound on the perch locks.
my coilovers are platinum
Hey Pete…
Salt may compromise the appearance performance and durability of… COIL OVERS!
they are currently on murrdoggs car as long as he has no problems with them they would be good. they were/are omnipower drag coils…
this thing was comfy for the minute or so i spent in it while being carted to my car.
thanks
