Yes sir! One of those weeks we are going somewhere warm, haven’t figured out where yet. Thoughts about going to Australia for the summer too. thats all a long time away though, so a lot can happen before then. But I am keeping it real, no ring or any of that. Stranger things have happened I suppose. Gives me a lot of new stuff to think about regarding life and where it can take you.

GTO officially paid off, credit card balance zero, 58" of Samsung plasma glory installed in the living room last night. It’s been a good week. Oh, and found out the wife is getting $1k because someone she referred for an interview where she works was just hired on as a permanent employee.

Nice, Where did you get the mount? I need to mount my TV
Went with a really low profile fixed mount which made getting my wires tucked behind the TV a real bitch but it looks awesome because there is only about 1/2" of airspace behind the TV. I had to modify a recessed power outlet because the power plug was actually thicker than my mount, and when plugged into the recessed mount the power cord going straight down interfered with the outlet. Nothing a little dremel action couldn’t fix.
Probably going to add a set of Polk Monitor 60’s for the left/right front speakers next.
So you installed new power and co-ax behind the TV with recessed boxes? Did you need to get extra deep boxes for the wall in order to mash them in there?

Then down below I have a single gang box with just the low voltage side where my 3 HDMI, 1 cat 5 and 1 component cable exit the wall behind the entertainment center. The power line goes from the recessed outlet behind the TV to another outlet via standard in-wall rated 3 wire. I was going to run 4 HDMI but decided if I want to add any more components I’ll just get a receiver with HDMI switching so I can knock the cables going to the TV down to a single HDMI.
