ugh how the hell are FRE and FNM doing absolutely nothing and even big financials are gaining a ton…
werd… even went negative for a lil bit today.
edit, back in the neg. I should have listened to the advice I gave yesterday of buying AIG at $2.50.
I was damn close. I might have been closest but I’m not sure if j_espo was guessing up 400 and then down 450 or up between 400 and 450.
Good call
Same time tomorrow folks, place your bets in the morning
BUMP for morning crew.
Give both a positive and negative guess, and which you are leaning towards as your actual guess. (The opposite is just for fun, in case you’re wrong.)
+228 as my actual guess
or
-113
+270
today it will go up 327 pts
It’s going to be down at the start. Probably -150 to 200.
By the end of the day real progress will be made on the bailout and we’ll end up 200.
AIG $3.58 +0.25
fre $1.798 +0.088
fnm $1.6199 +0.09
not a bad open but you’re right…
DJIA
10,730.55 -120.11
^ It’s not to hard to predict the open when you look at the futures market at 7am every day.
FRE and FNM open up every day up like 10 cents and drop like 10 cents at 3:59 when people don’t want to hold them overnight.
I still like AIG though… really liked it at 2.50 the other day.
Well, it hit a low of down 218 and is now only down 133. So far my prediction is looking good. Just need the Senate not to fuck me this afternoon.
Looking to set up an e-account. What E-trading site is the best to set up an account on (EX E-trade, TD Ameritrade etc…)? Who has the lowest cost per transaction?
how big of transactions will you be making? I use ameritrade just because its 9.99 per trade no matter what and i dont have to deal with sliding fees
I use scottrade, $7 per trade(as long as the stock is $1 or more).
I am probably only looking to invest a couple thousand dollars into the account
10/2/08 bump
+380 today.
+190 today
ehh, futures are down big. unemployment numbers are very bad and people don’t trust the house. I say :meh: day, dow minus 30
