yea im a horrible speller, what ever sorry, im not trying to scam anyone, i just want to beable to buy this helmet any where but ebay, i worded it wrong then. in no way shape or form am i trying to scam it was a fucking mistake…yes they should have given you 3500, the cost to replace something similar to what you had, i have seen it happen to friends where the bike was booked for less, but they were given more because of the cost to replace it with something similar

the cost to replace it was the cost they gave me. the cost to replace it in the condition i purchased it in 6 months ago is not what was owed because it was not in the condition that i purchased it in 6 months ago.

In your case your only shot is to find the helmet new somewhere and tell the insurance company that is what you want.
You will not get more tho becuase like it has been posted, they give you a check for $400 for a helmet, you go on ebay and buy one for $200 and pocket the rest. That is against the law and they are smarter than that.
If you buy a brand new BMW for $50,000 and 10 years later its stolen. They are not gonna give you $50,000 becuase thats what you paid for it. They will get you what its worth 10 years old at the time it was stolen.
