motor build advice for woodrow

im building the bottom end in my z this year. i purchased a nice set of rods and im going to order some forged pistons as well. i’ll likely get some arp studs for good measure. ive helped assemble a bottom end before, so i know how everything fits together and how to go about things but im sure there are things i should know before i start tearing into this. any advice is greatly appreciated.

the block has been rebuilt before, and has roughly 10-15k miles on that rebuild with all stock components. with installing new pistons and rings, i would likely need to hone the cylinders again. in doing so, this being the 2nd time that its been done, will i need to get a larger diameter piston set? will the stock size still work? i suppose i would have to wait n see how big the cylinders are before i order the pistons? im not quite sure what to expect i guess.

im sure ill have more questions as i get further into this endeavor, but thats it for now. thank you for any input, oh gods of nyspeed.
