Mustang, evo question?

ok you all can hate me for this, But a friend of mine has stock 17" mustang wheels he will pritty much give to me. I was thinking I could use them on the evo for winter wheels
(just incase I newman into a curb)

My quetion is will the stang wheels fit (offset/brake clearance) on the Evo? (I belive there both 5x4.5. right?)

I dont think those will clear the brakes. Im not positive though.

LOL!!!

probably wont clear the brakes.

(for the record)
i think your wheels are 114.5PCD 17X8 ET38

I have heard that the 03-04 cobra wheels fit. Can’t verify personally though.

Assuming that 3000GTs use the same bolt pattern and offset as the Evo, that is true. Jack used to have 03 Cobra wheels on his 3GGT

This look to confirm it: http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=80889

:word: teh hottness.

Then everyone did it

I didn’t even realize those were Mustang wheels. They looked great on that car…

Depends on which mustang. If the wheels are from a 94-03 Mustang Cobra, then yes they will fit, as the offsets are ~+25mm. Also the '03 and '00 (I think?) SVT Cobra Wheels will also fit.

Bolt pattern is the same as the EVO, and they will clear the brake calipers with no problems at all.

The same applies if you have a DSM (2G or 1G).

Just for reference, I think the stock EVO wheel offset is approx +35mm offset give or take. So anything matching that or lower should be fine. If you run a wheel lower than +25mm offset, I would suggest getting longer wheel studs.

Any of the other Mustang wheels (the V6, etc), stay away from.
