Yea…cutting there has got to affect the stength of the whole chassis. Don’t ever roll that thing over or you might be as good as dead.
yeah i kno but it has all been reinforced with metal so its not that weak but it isnt as strong as it use to be. and i hope i dont roll any car even with the a pillars not cut into
try just puttin a front mount on with the stock turbo, then a turbo back exhaust, change to aluminum Intercooler pipes, get a REAL recirculating BOV, and an Intake.
(all plans I had for the car and never got around to.)
You will be surprised what a difference that will make.
Then if u want faster, which you will, Upgrade the turbo.
But max out the one youve got first.
For the reccord, All the belts that broke, shouldnt have.
They were all replaced When I had the timing belt done. I also had the clutch checked out and asked for signes of crankwalk.
They said to me that everything was fine on it.
So word of advice, DONT go to OTTO Mitsubishi… or whatever the fuck it is now.

Yea, those sidemounts don’t do much of anything. Like everyone said, you can make good power without touching the turbo. FMIC, solid charge piping, and exhaust and a boost controller will do wonders.

Anyhow, my SMALLER heatsoaked SMIC allowed me to go 11.7s.
I am sure it’s a concern but plenty of cars make power with heatsoak. The money can be better spent initially. Keeping the stock 14B is criminal.
