Need Video Help...

Hey, my 'puter recently took a dump at work, and the 'puter nerd basically reformatted my flex capacitor and got it acting normal again.

But, I can’t get the movies that my Digital camera takes to play in anything.

The camera spits out .avi’s, and I can get sound, but no video.

I have Windows Media player and Real player.

I really don’t care which one I use because it is only my work 'puter, but what plugin’s do I need to be able to watch video?

Can someone post a link?

basically try and use the basic divx codec first off and see if it works, if not there are some more advanced ones to checkout

all you want is the driver, which you can download for free and without signing up for anything

damn 'puter nerds

heres something really easy you can try…try resizing the “media player” window that pops up…just shrink it a little. I have seen issues where the video won’t show because it’s too large…thats the first thing I would try before getting all geeky on it.

OK, installed the divx codec player thingy, and this is what I get:

This file contains unknown data.

The video file you are opening includes video data that is not recognized by the Divx player.

The file contains the following type of data:

Video Data: FOURCC Code “MJPG”

You may need to install a new video codec on your computer to watch this video.

Phags…

You’re just looking for attention you whiner!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

You might wanna check out Canon’s site, they mmight have the drive there. Otherwise it looks like it needs the mp4 codec which you can just search for through google.

Shoot your IT monkey in da face wit’ da Desert Eagle YO

That actually sounds like a lovely idea!

I’ll get right on that…
