I’ve been hearing all sorts of whisperings about this, and I garuntee it eventually happens in one form or another. Considering this past year was Porsche’s most profitable in their history, and they just aquired MORE of VW Audi Group (bringing their minority share to 29% IIRC).

But anyway, another artist’s impression from another car mag (this one doesnt look like they just grabbed Gemballa’s sketches for the Mirage GT and shaded them). Looks like a TRUE GT1 successor. I can only hope they produce something like this, the 993-6 GT1 looks so amazing and radical.

what is that, a 24" wheel? I like the GT1 that you took pictures of a while back, but that artist’s impression is teh lose.

Although the CGT is a fantastic car and sounds like sex, I always found it to look quite boring in comparison to its direct competition. This, on the other hand, has just the supercar panache a well-into-6-figure car should have.

Thats actually pretty hideous. It looks like someone tacked a huge rectangle to the back of it. I imagine if the car was ever produced, it would look much different…

So is this supposed to be a race car or a “production” car? Isn’t Porsche releasing new chassis for their alms car this year as well?

You’ve clearly never seen a GT1. As for this, it’s based on the homologation rules of the mid/late 90’s for FIA racing.
