New house = new projects. A "build" thread

I just measured the pool and the shortest side is exactly 48" (phew). I also called to inform my insurance company and they told me I was already covered under some other coverage or something. I specifically asked about some young child deciding to take a swim in it unexpectedly and they said that I would still be covered. So everything is good.

Seeing as your speaking of pools one thing that pisses me off…

I had to take out my diving board or our insurance would have cancelled us. All because at some point and time, some dumb fuck of a parent was not watching their child, or left their child at a friends house, in which friends mother was not watching the child, said kid probably busted his face up trying to do a back flip and his mom sued.

Fucking dumb

Finally got around to putting a new heating system in the garage. I was given an almost new 80,000BTU high efficiency forced air furnace when I first got the house. I started it over the weekend with the help of my dad and we ran the gas line, plumbed up the vent, and got all the major stuff finished. Then over the course of this week I had the gas valve rebuilt / converted to LP and connected up a “back-up” 20# bottle that will act as a quick back-up if I ever run out on the main tank. Its actually running off the back-up for now until I can get the full size tank put in and filled up. Had it running while working on getting the garage re-organized tonight and it warms it up nice and quick… can’t wait to get it all finished up. Still need to run the ducting down to the floor and through the divider wall into the main part of the garage.
Now onto the pics:

And my temporary air deflection until I can get the ducting work done. The board deflects it towards the doorway and I have a box fan in the doorway blowing the heat into the main part of the garage… not the best, but it works for now.

wood deflecting heat… SICK!!!

its warm air… and not warm enough to cause any risk of fire… lol. And it will be coming off shortly… just have to find the ducting.

lol i know just busting balls. does it heat up the garage well?

I really have to get the ducting work done so it blows better into the main garage but even with the limited air flow into the main area, the garage was up to 60 in about 30min. The back room was at around 80 at that point though… lol. I ended up having to move the thermostat because I had to max it out just to heat the main area above 60. It was only mounted on there temporarily til I could get everything working. Now its just inside the doorway between the 2 rooms.

Finally got the garage re-organized. Should be able to pick back up with the remote starters starting next week… depending on which days I end up going out of town for work…
