Buy mine!

A few things… the K04-022 is a stock turbo on the 225hp audi TT. the stock golf/jetta 1.8t turbo is a K03S. At some point someone may have blown the K03S and put a K04-001 on it, which is a direct replacement for the K03, where as the -22 is a completely different turbo.

and no WAY is it spinning 3rd! unless you are running doughnuts on the front in the rain! My 400+whp jetta started to hook 3rd when I got it tuned well.

Launching it at the track… or anywhere for that matter. I wouldnt go beating the piss out of that stock diff. the rivets back out and blow through the case, also chewing up gear sets in the process. Also the open diff itself is weak and have failed under decent power and abuse. Street tires, and stiff motor mounts, you should be ok, becasue it wont wheel hop as bad. (the wheel hop is what jar’s the piss out of the trans/diff). A limited slip diff is a must in these cars if you want the trans to last. Also be carefull hammering shifts on that 6 speed, the forks are a weak point too and will bend/jamb up.

Forget about slicks unless you have a LSD.

before you sink more money into the car, ask questions prior to purchase… been there done that is an understatement for me, MK430R, TdiLogic, YettiVR and BigRed. we are all VW nuts with experience, not some google search know it all BS.
