new wheels or old wheels

I’ve been thinking about getting some new wheels for the maxima. I like whats on there now, but would like something a little larger and a different look.
Here’s what I have, 17x8 Borbet type E’s painted graphite with machined lip.
This is my car:

I’m in search of 18’s, and the choice is between these few rims.

They are Tenzo R DC-6’s, just different colors. I am a huge fan of SSR wheels particularly these on a maxima but they are too pricey for me.

The tenzo’s are the closest looking style I have found aside from rota’s.
so what do you guys think?

I think you should get something lighter than these choices. Tenzo-R 17x8’s are probably 22 lbs a piece or something stupid like that

what is the size bolt pattern and offset of Maxima’s, there are a few sets of Comp C’s or Comp H’s floating around for about the $1g mark that I know of.

5x114.3 and 35mm offset i believe

zong, the wheels i have now are 22lbs already so if those are the weight I dont mind. If and when I go to the track i have another set of rims in the garage.

my wife likes the red lip black wheels… altho i like your current wheels… the car looks vary clean and i dont think 18" would look right

see my post below.

black w/ red lip

I checked out tirerack… they’ve got the SSR GT10s (18x8) on sale for like $330 a corner (50% off) – it’s not every day you can get a $3000+ set of wheels for around $1300. Unlike some ghetto tenzoR’s that you’ll spend $800 on and get $200 when you sell.

you could rock these for a few years and sell them and get all of your money back.

and those aren’t poser bolts either, reel 3 piece wheels up in here

i’m just going for looks on these. I like the borbets, but i’ve had them for about 3 years and am a little bored.

ballin’ on a budget always ends up looking lame. but it’s your call.

I have too many projects going between rebuilding the motor and my bike etc. I’m still in college too and dont have unlimited finances to do whatever I please either.

tirerack has the ssr’s decent price but it says they have less than 4 on hand :roll2: and they are all 19’s

Gram lights 57 maximum are looking up my alley too

I love the Borbets, but I Like the SSRs theblue posted or Gram Lights
