Yes you read it correctly, I am looking for a 1988-1992 Nissan Stanza. This car is a 4dr only version of a 240 but FWD.
I need one with a solid body, I don’t care about the engine or transmission, I have my own to put in.
If anyone has any leads please let me know, I will pay a finders fee for the right car.
That is like saying a Quest is a 5 door version of a 350Z but FWD.
Why are you specifically looking for a Stanza chassis and not an Altima or Sentra chassis?
Race car. Class rules fwd sohc 4cyl.
I have one now but frame is beyond repair.
Can’t you just put the SOHC in an Altima? Definitely more available, it would almost be a direct fit. Or are they that specific that they want original motor with original car.
A Sentra would be lighter, but a little more work.
Do you think it would be possible to shoe horn a FWD KA24 into a sentra?
In other markets the Stanza came with the SR20, so physically if a KA24 fits in a Stanza, it will fit in a Sentra.
The tricky part will be the axles. If you can use the Stanza hubs so you have the same splines count then everything should be o.k. The reason that no one puts KA24s in Sentras is because everyone goes for the SR20.
This is interesting, what generation of Sentra should I look into? 91-94ish?
91-94 Sentra, 95-99 Sentra, 95-98 200SX, 91-96 Infiniti G20 all have the same engine compartment.
The Stanza and Altima are really, really, really, close.
