I have a Nitro sport with an upgraded engine from the 1.5 to the 2.5, the motor is BRAND NEW and was broken in properly by a professional. The piston and sleeve are set up for racing, it was also ported for more airflow. This motor is faster than the average 2.5. This truck really quick and super responsive and has plenty more power than the stock 1.5 motor that is came with. This car is not broken and doesn’t need anything, the engine has only had about 6 tanks of gas run through it. It also has new batteries in both remote and car, it comes with the EZ electric starter as well. Im only asking $120. This car is great if your just starting, or for your 1st nitro truck, or even if you are more experienced.
they are pretty easy to get used to. just hand eye coordination. the nitro ones like this sometimes take some finesse to tune though. i might try to sell off mine, they have been sitting for a while.
For me it was extremely easy to catch on, if you work on regular vehicles daily or even have a pretty decent knowledge on automotive these should be cake for you…
I just like them because is gives me something to do/mess with when im bored and without my teg ha.
Oh and its also a very cheap hobby to get into as far as im concerned… iv yet to break a part on one of my cars that i couldnt replace for $10 or under lol.
EDIT: This is a really good deal because the motors alone for for 100+ especially the 2.5s like the one i have on this one. Which IS brand new. I also had to buy a kit that would give me the parts necessary to do the larger engine swap on this and that was about 30$ as well…
This is better truck then the HPI Nitro 4x4 I have for sale you asked me about. Mine won’t be as fast as the Nitro Sport. If your car is running good, it should wheel stand and flip over on it’s roof fairly easily. My son’s Nitro Rustler is about the same car and it’s fast. My other son has a 3.3 S-Maxx and the 2.5 Rustler is still quicker. Traxxas is the best with their electric start - make it nice for beginners as well.
As for control - most of the fun is when you are mostly out of control. I’ve cart wheeled these things 4-5 times, landed on the wheels and just kept going. You don’t just want to grandma them around the flat yard. You can jump them 6-8’ in the air and they land like a cat as long as it hits on the wheels:)
6 tanks is really like almost broken in… not completely. Although some people like to do a longer break-in then what the instructions call for. There are educational Youtube Videos that could be helpfull with these Nitro vehicles! Trust me they are fun! GLWS
