That’s BS Dave. These cars are projected to weigh around 3800Lbs The LS series is essentially the same exterior dimensions as the SBC but is made almost entirely of aluminum. Weigh this bitch next to a early 90s LT1 and I bet it weighs 300-400 Lbs more. I remember reading that the LS4 in the W-bodies weighed less than the SCed 3800s it replaced. This car’s fat ass can’t be contributed to the engine. I also wonder, where does all this weight coming from?
This is damn sexy though. I really like that blue that Camaro Joe shopped on it. Kinda looks like the old LeMans Blue on the C6.
It was the 100th GM anniversary and 70th Tonawanda Engine Plant Anniversary.
I took 200+ pics. They had about one car from every year there. Best of the best. Tomorrow they are having a parade through Riverside Par at 9am if you want to see them. Then the GM plant car show is tomorrow too.
Yes, I sat in the car. Very comfy. Not bad in terms of blind spots. You can see the front and rear of the car.
Everything is in perfect view for the driver.
This car had RS trim, but had a V8 and 6 speed. Today they took it on the GM parade and I told him to give it some revs. Very quiet. Needs more loudness.
I AM getting one of these. Today just put me over the top on my decision.
That’s awesome Joe! Closest I’ve been has been at the Auto Show’s in Detroit and Toronto when the car was on a pedestal. How does the size feel? Big like the Challenger??? That’s been my beef lately with cars, even the '05+ Mustang feels large…
Based on looks alone, I would love to rock a new Camaro…and this is coming from someone who grow up Ford:wiggle:
I drove Nelnova’s Challenger and in comparison, I will say, the Challenger had a more luxury, my ass feels soooooo comfortable in this seat. But the Camaro was still very comfortable, but didn’t feel as big as the Challenger or Mustang. I can say I have been in all 3 cars, so it is a fair statement.
This is about the 20th time I have seen the 2010 Camaro, but the first time an actual production model, not a concept.
Moonroof is an option. I’m not getting it. Not a fan of it on the Camaro.
I’m sure the grill will have aftermarket options. Wait til I see what they offer at SEMA. I want a grill to look like the original 69 grill.
Jinx from Camaro5.com was doing some renderings of what he thought the Z28 should look like. They said they aren’t going to make a Z28 (yet). For now it’s the SS. But people have already talked about doing 427 motor swaps on them as soon as they get them.
