OK JayS... (Spitzer Prostitution Scandal Inside)

Do they ever?
We’ll forget about it shortly.

I know none of you ever believe Fox News, but they’re reporting Spitzer sources say Spitzer is going to resign.

Special election! Think Chris Collins will run?

Ummm, Wow.

Let him fix our area first

ABC reporting he will resign as well, for the Fox haters.

So how does this work? Special election or does the lieutenant governor get the job until the next election?

niiiiice :tspry:

can’t stand that clown

This is really going to f up things if he resigns

NJ had a special election didn’t they?

Remember when you were 10 years old and Santa brought you some great present you really weren’t expecting…

Yeah, that’s what today is like for me.

Then as a bonus I looked in my stocking and realized that Hillary is probably going to take a small hit over this since she’s in NY and he endorsed her.

Apparently not.

Fellow Democrat and New Jersey Senate President Richard Codey took office upon McGreevey’s resignation and served the remainder of the term until January 17, 2006. At the time of McGreevey’s resignation, the New Jersey State Constitution stipulated that the Senate president retains that position while serving as acting governor.

But that was NJ state constitution, not NY. And it was only 3 months before a regular election.

I dont know why he’d resign after Larry Craig got to keep his job. Ugh

If he does, for the time being we have our first black governor.

classy

Well, there goes UB2020. Rumor has it Simpson may also resign as a result

ABC News is reporting that Hillary is throwing in the towel in the presidential campaign and is now poised to become NY governer.

No not really.

Fucking wow though.

She’s got slick Willy on one side and now Spitzer on the other… She’s not really surrounding herself with non-sexually permiscuous men.

Emperor’s Club VIP…sure sounds it!

Don’t act like republicans have never done anything like this! Ok wait they haven’t done this, if it was a republican it would have been a prostitution ring of 12 year old singapore lady boys.

Props to Joe for great thread creation.

Probably figures its her best chance of getting laid.

Yeah, I went there.

Fucking el oh el… my co-worked just said, “this seems appropriate for today” and started playing Sting’s Roxanne.

David A. Paterson was elected New York’s 74th Lieutenant Governor on November 7, 2006. As Lieutenant Governor, Paterson leads the administration’s charge in several critical areas. He focuses on stem cell research, alternative energy, reducing domestic violence, and increasing the role minority- and women-owned businesses play in New York State. Governor Spitzer chose Paterson to be his running mate because Paterson had a strong record of championing issues such as these for over the two decades he served in the New York State Senate.

Throughout a long career in public service, Lieutenant Governor Paterson has demonstrated an ability to effect change at every level and has been a strong progressive leader for all New Yorkers. Lieutenant Governor Paterson entered public life in 1985 when he began representing Harlem in the New York State Senate. In 2002, he became its Minority Leader – the first non-white legislative leader in New York’s history. He made history again in 2004 when he became the first visually impaired person to address the Democratic National Convention. And in 2006 Mr. Paterson was elected New York’s first African-American lieutenant governor.

Lt. Governor Paterson was born May 20,1954 in Brooklyn, NY to Portia and Basil Paterson, the first non-white secretary of state of New York and the first African-American vice-chair of the national Democratic Party. The Lt. Governor earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Columbia University, graduating in 1977, and completed his J.D. at Hofstra Law School in 1982. He continues to give back to his alma mater by serving as an adjunct professor at Columbia’s School for International and Public Affairs.
