I have a 93 Lexus SC 300 and i like the look alot. However, the 97+ cars have upgraded bumpers/side skirts/fog lights.
Most lexus owners want the 97+ look and its about a grand for all the pieces needed to do it.
I am torn…I am not sure I want to spend another grand on something that everyone is doing but I do really like the way it looks.
Car is going for paint in 2 weeks so I have to decide fairly quick and cant make up my mind

I don’t see a drastic enough difference to justify spending $1k to get them. Plus then you’ll be stuch trying to ditch the parts you’d be removing. Also, who cares about those subtle differences if you spend that $1k on turbo stuffs.
Too the non-lexus aficionado the differences appear to be rather subtle if at all noticeable. I’d say if you have the money and you like it do it. Who cares if everybody else is doing it.

So I should just make the rear end look good, because turbo?

The differences are a lower body line on the bumpers, additional side skirts, round fog lights, slit in the front grill
I had to scroll a few times just to find the differences. Not worth it IMO; keep the one you have.

I like the earlier better. That grill hole they added near the logo on the newer bumper looks stupid.
are there any aftermarket bumpers that look good? the stock rear on these is a little boring and could use a more sporty look.
Ok now that you point them out I see them clearly. They both look good.
Not unless you want crazy drift star fast and the furious look that fits horrible. I am pretty much stuck with the ass end unless I want to change tail lights (which I dont) or add a spoiler (whick I dont) Any rear lip creates the need for side skirts and front lip which costs as much as getting an entire 97+ used set up

I do too, but the shine auto kit is crazy $ in addition to needing a few extra parts since it is based off of the 97+ cars
about $700 for this kit…there was one I liked by “L-tuned” but it was fucking $2400 for a simple lip kit LOL

Leave well enough alone and paint it. Use the 1k for go-fast parts. I also had to scroll to find a difference, and for the love of god don’t buy some poorly fitting body kit.
